Surrounded!!

As the surviving presidential candidates fan out across Texas and Ohio for what is shaping up as a decisive vote next Tuesday, the Republicans are treating Barack Obama increasingly like the presumptive Democratic nominee – and pummelling him for it on everything from foreign policy to free trade.
John McCain, who has the Republican nomination all but sewn up, has led the anti-Obama charge, seeking to portray him as naive on the threat from al-Qa'ida and lambasting him for his pledge to meet certain hostile foreign leaders "without preconditions" if it seemed appropriate.
Even President George Bush has echoed some of these criticisms, describing Senator Obama's idea of meeting leaders like Raul Castro of Cuba or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran as "extremely counterproductive". Give Obama credit, He is standing tall under a small firestorm. But, it is only going to get worse and he will be an easy target. Can he still be made of Teflon? Will he start to melt under the fire? You tell us!

Tax Me Part II

Mr Obama has said that he would cut taxes for the middle class, and that he would pay for his health, infrastructure and other programmes partly by pulling American troops out of Iraq and partly by increasing taxes on the rich. Sceptics doubt that pulling out of Iraq will be easy, however. And they fret that Mr Obama's tax hikes for the rich, who already pay nearly all the income taxes in America, would have to be so high that the economy would suffer. By letting the Bush tax cuts expire, Mr Obama would hike the top rate of income tax from 35% to 39.6%. If he were to let the payroll tax apply to high incomes, too, he would add another 12.4%, split between employee and employer. Add state and local taxes, which are over 10% in New York City, and marginal tax rates for the well-off would be steep indeed. This would be a 50% are more tax rate for the rich. Also, that would not still cover all that Obama is promising. Therefore, the middle class will have to pay more. Is that not a tax hike on the average Joe? Will this become a burden on the economy? This makes no sense at all. Is most of the promises Obama is making, just talk to get elected? Looks like higher taxes to come or, just more broken promises. I think a mix of both. No changes here, more of the same old, same old.

The "Kitchen Sink" Offensive!!

Unleashing what one Clinton aide called a “kitchen sink” full out attack against Mr. Obama, pursuing five lines of attack since Saturday in hopes of stopping his political momentum, Clinton is in recognition that the next round of primaries — in Ohio and Texas on March 4 — are must-win contests for her. Mr. Obama’s campaign manager, David Plouffe, said that the Clinton campaign had “engaged in the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party.” It has not been independently verified that the photograph came from the Clinton campaign. With a crucial debate on Tuesday night in Ohio, both Mrs. Clinton’s advisers and independent political analysts said that, by going negative against Mr. Obama at a time when polls in Texas and Ohio show a tightening race, Mrs. Clinton risked alienating voters. Clinton is going all out without a net to save her. She is in the "all or nothing attack "mode. Tonights debate should make or break her. Do you think this will work? Is this new strategy the way to go?

DING, DING, DING!! The Fight is ON!!

Hillary Clinton has launched several attacks on Barack Obama in recent days, with some of them being downright nasty. On Saturday, Clinton went nuclear on Obama for distributing two mailers in the Buckeye State that she feels unfairly represent her positions on health care and NAFTA. After the diatribe in Ohio, Clinton moved to Rhode Island on Sunday, where she mocked Obama's message of unity and hope. Monday, A two-year-old picture of Barack Obama dressed in traditional Somali garb was sent out by Clinton. Expressing outrage, Obama’s campaign suggested the purpose of the photo release was to invoke reminders of persistent rumors that Obama is secretly Muslim, and by extension, anti-American. The fight is on, and it looks like a death match to the end. Just the other day, Clinton and Obama where holding hands. Do you feel like Clinton is taking cheap shots at Obama? Does the photo have any meaning to you? Did you believe that these two would have kept this race clean of mud slinging?

Ralph "SPOILER" Nader At It Again!

Nader is running for the same reason he has run in the past: Because the likely nominees of the two major parties do not begin to meet the standards that might reasonably be asked of progressive contenders in 21st-century America.
Fundamental issues -- Wall Street-defined globalization, rampant and frequently deadly corporate crime, out-of-control military spending and an imperial foreign policy -- are not going to be addressed in a realistic let alone definitional manner by the Democratic nominee (be he Barack Obama or be she Hillary Clinton) or by Republican John McCain. And that, says Nader, will leave millions of Americans feeling frustrated and disenfranchised. Ralph Nader is starting to be a joke. This makes it five times, that he has ran for president. But, does he do any good at getting some of his issues notice? Will he affect the outcome again? Will there ever be a true third party contender?

Our Next Commander in Chief.

This is not the first time Obama has dissed America! He is the only one in the race that will not wear an American flag. He says that it is not needed, yet, all the others wear it as a symbol of 9/11. Also, with his wife's comments, that sounded like she has never been proud to be an American, are adding to this poor view. Both of the Obamas have done well at living the American dream, yet, they have dissed America many of times. How can you be the Commander in Chief with this attitude anti- America view? Would you vote for him as President A.K.A Commander in Chief?

DEMS trying to steal 08 race?

The New York Times is in the crosshairs after publishing a lengthy and critical profile of John McCain Thursday that suggests — but does not outright say — that McCain had a romantic relationship with a female lobbyist and did favors for her clients from his position as chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee.
The New Republic published a long article Thursday afternoon on its Web site detailing the story behind the story and claiming, “What’s most remarkable about the article is that it appeared in the paper at all.” Is this the DEMS trying to derail McCain? This has happen before. Do you remember in the 04 Presidents race, when there was a fake letter about Bush and his role in the national guard. LOW DOWN! This could of not only wrecked his race for president, but, his family life too. Starting to look that the democrats will do anything to win.VERY LOW DOWN!

I would like to keep my money.

Can you believe What Obama's wife said?!

“For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country … not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change,” she said. “I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment.” But what else get me is that also, Obama stop wearing the American flag on his shirt. Do you think the Obamas are not proud of America? Is this a sign of discontent for America?
